After a successful Making pilot program, making is well underway at Grass Valley Elementary School! In late 2016, we converted Room 9, a previous defunct computer room into the creativity hub/Makerspace, Wonder Workshop where teachers, students, and the community will have access to a variety of resources, tools, and materials to make their ideas a reality. The Wonder Workshop will serve as a place for fun, meaningful learning and be a nurturing haven for creativity and discovery.
Part of creating the Wonder Workshop space is creating an online space of making. This blog will be a resource for our community and online community to learn about making, captured making moments at Grass Valley and reflecting on the process of making in a diverse, low-income, and high special needs school.
We look forward to sharing all of this with you!
Remember, Everyone’s is a Maker!
